The Power of Gratitude

When you lack understanding of the why, you become a disaster waiting to happen. It may not show immediately, but in time, the absence of revelation will catch up with you. Many people receive blessings, healing, promotion, or breakthrough without understanding the purpose behind it—and so they lose what they once celebrated. Gratitude is not just about saying thank you; it’s about understanding why you are where you are and remembering Who brought you there.

In Luke 17:17–19, ten lepers cried out to Jesus for mercy. All ten were healed, but only one—just one—returned to give thanks. And to that one, Jesus said, “Arise, go your way; your faith has made you whole.”

There’s a profound difference between being healed and being made whole.

Healing removes the symptoms of an affliction; wholeness restores everything that was broken—physically, emotionally, spiritually, and even relationally. You can be healed today and fall sick again tomorrow, but when you are made whole, you enter a new state of divine completeness that prevents future affliction.

Wholeness, however, is reserved for the grateful.

You are never qualified for more until you are thankful for what you have already received. Heaven’s system doesn’t reward entitlement; it rewards remembrance. Gratitude, in the biblical sense, means remembering where you came from and acknowledging that you are not self-made.

1 Corinthians 4:7 asks pointedly, “What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?”

Gratitude keeps pride at bay and keeps your heart soft before God. Pride says, “I earned this.” Gratitude says, “I was helped.”

That’s why James 4:6 reminds us that “God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Gratitude and humility walk hand in hand; one cannot exist without the other. Gratitude is humility expressed, and humility ensures longevity. The proud rise fast but fall faster; the grateful may rise slower, but they remain established.

In Numbers 20:12, Moses lost the privilege of entering the Promised Land—not because he didn’t serve God faithfully, but because he disobeyed out of frustration. His heart lost sight of the why. When gratitude wanes, obedience falters, and frustration takes over.

Gratitude keeps you aligned with God’s perspective. It helps you remember that your life, your success, and even your anointing are not your own. As Psalm 24:1 declares, “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.”

When you understand that truth, you stop taking ownership of what belongs to God and start stewarding it with reverence and thanksgiving.

Some people are stuck not because God hasn’t opened new doors, but because they are still living in the past—past glory or past pain. You cannot embrace a new season while clutching the remnants of the old one. Gratitude gives you perspective; it helps you see even your painful seasons as classrooms, not prisons.

Philippians 3:10 speaks of knowing Christ and “the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings.” Gratitude transforms suffering into a lesson rather than a life sentence.

Let go of what was, so you can embrace what is to come. Your past may have shaped you, but it does not define you. Don’t let it impeach your future.

Everything we are, everything we have, and everything we hope to be is by the mercy of God. Romans 9:16 says, “It is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.”

Gratitude shifts the spotlight back to God, reminding us that no matter how gifted, skilled, or hardworking we are, it is the Lord who gives increase. As Isaiah 42:8 declares, “I am the Lord; that is My name; My glory I will not give to another.”

To live with gratitude is to live with awareness—awareness that every breath is grace, every opportunity is mercy, and every blessing is stewardship.

When gratitude becomes your posture, wholeness becomes your reality. You begin to see life through the lens of grace rather than entitlement. You stop complaining about what’s missing and start celebrating what’s been given. You stop looking backward in regret and start looking upward in faith.

Gratitude is not just a reaction to what God has done; it is preparation for what He will do next.

So pause today. Reflect. Remember where you started, who sustained you, and how far He’s brought you. And then say, with a full heart,

“Thank You, Lord.”

Pursuing Purpose (1)

What do you do? This is a harmless question that we often get asked in conversation from both acquaintances and strangers alike. Imagine yourself at a party or a meeting where someone approaches you and asks, “what do you do?”

What’s your answer likely going to be? What is the context of your answer. Is it what you do for a living? Is it what occupies most of your time? And what time frame is your answer in? Is your answer based on what you’re doing presently?

A woman was once asked, “What do you do?”. Her response went something like this, “I am a follower of Christ cleverly disguised as a mom, a wife and a business woman”. It was quite surprising because it wasn’t the usual answer expected for such a basic question. What would have been your response to the same question she was asked, “What do you do?”

As you think on this question, reflect on how answering it could help you discover your divine purpose. How aware are you of eternity and its impact on your daily life and everyday choices?

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.”

‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3‬:‭11‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Everything we see, have and are comes from the Lord. All things were made because of Him and will return to Him. No one can measure the wealth of our God nor measure His divine wisdom. No one knows the thoughts of God nor gives Him advice. He has however given us a sense of who He is so we can get to know Him better through His word.

Obediently pursue God and express your adoration to Him as you contemplate on your life and purpose. How does having an eternal perspective shape your earthly purpose? That mysterious longing in your heart cannot be satisfied by anything under the sun.

“Yes! God is very great! He has everything! He knows and he understands all things! Nobody can completely understand the things that he decides. Nobody can explain the ways in which he works.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭11‬:‭33‬ ‭EASY‬‬

No one can know everything God has in His plan else He ceases to be God. Your divine purpose is to give your whole heart and soul to knowing God, pursuing Him and bringing Him glory. How do you experience Him in your life in this moment? How are you pursuing Him? What are you doing now to bring glory to an eternal God? What are you doing today to express your love to an eternal God?

“All things have been entrusted and delivered to Me by My Father; and no one fully knows and accurately understands the Son except the Father, and no one fully knows and accurately understands the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son deliberately wills to make Him known. Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭27‬-‭28‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Based on the passage above, it is important that we continually look up to our Lord Jesus Christ and desire to dwell in His presence so He can make known to us His Father. Every breath you take is in fulfillment of your purpose. Do not be afraid for He is with you. Do not be dismayed for He is your God. He will strengthen you and help you and uphold you by His righteous right hand.

Your purpose can be achieved by the things that you consistently do, your lifestyle. Focus on eternity and allow God to use you help others also pursue Him. Continually fix your gaze on God and ask Him to reveal to you the sense of your divine purpose according to His will.

THE WISE CHRISTIAN

Following our wise and only God is supposed to make us same so as to reflect one of His divine characteristics and thereby drawing massive souls to Christ Jesus but unfortunately some of us have decided to become unwise because of the love we have for some of our leaders who didn’t give us the whole council of God through their teaching. In most cases, what these leaders teach or taught us is or was a part of the whole truth or even wrong doctrine that we embrace with all our heart without searching the scriptures for ourselves like the Berean Christians who “ were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so” – Acts 17:11. Can u imagine, Paul, an Apostle chosen by God who had an encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus went to these Thessalonians and preached the word and they still went ahead to see or check whether Paul was right or wrong in his teaching. Isn’t that incredible? These believers were very wise indeed and I’m pretty sure they pleased the Lord. They didn’t behave like unwise fellows. One day when we get to the judgment seat there will be no excuse at all. We have everything at our disposal in this 21st century dispensation to prove to the world that our wisdom is indeed celestial hence higher than the terrestrial one for we belong to the only wise God.

The demonstration of this heavenly wisdom must find expression in all we do here on earth.

Sadly, most of us don’t allow this wisdom to manifest in our lives especially when what we are being taught is a wrong doctrine. We accept everything because of the love we have for a man or the faith we repose in them as Christian leaders who maybe well-meaning people but still hold on to teaching centered on the flesh or legalism.

On the flip side, some other believers just ignore the laws of nature and act foolishly and pay dearly for their actions. Out of zeal without knowledge, a Christian, can go and take poison and drink it and say the Bible says “even if we drink a deadly thing, it shall not harm us”. In as much as this verse is correct, is that how it is to be applied? Do we have to tempt God?

Beloved, a Christian replete with wisdom values his health. I mean they don’t play with their health at all. In as much as they give attention to the spirit, they are also give same attention to their bodies because we are given a body per our life time and not many bodies. Maintaining our bodies in good shape is our responsibility and not the Lord’s. He or she knows when to go to hospital and when to apply herbs for we are spirits but live in bodies. We are dual beings and what connects our body to our spirit is our soul. Genesis 1: 29 says; “And God said, behold, I have given you every herd bearing seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree….” God uses different ways to heal our bodies when we are sick. He is the one who gave us herbs for medicinal purposes. Unfortunately, some Christians will never use herbs to cure their sickness because they believe it’s demonic and to worsen their situation they will prefer using faith than using herbs. This “zeal without knowledge” make some believers lose their lives before their time because they don’t value their health.

Do I believe in faith? Absolutely! But we don’t have the same level of faith in this kingdom. If your faith isn’t helping you and you have another option like herbs why don’t you go for it and get cured my dear brother? After all, all the glory will eventually go back to Jesus. If we value our health, we wouldn’t take some things for granted at all.

I don’t however believe in “herbalists“. I’m not talking about licensed professional herbalists who are believers. I’m talking about Jujumen who hide their true identity under the guise of “herbalists“ and use herbs alright, by speaking to them and invoking demons upon them and giving them to Christians to use. My friend, if you value your health, you would not go to such people. Most people have contacted demons through the instrumentality of such people here in Africa especially.

Discernment is key here. As a believer you should be able to tell whether someone is of God or not. Some of us when we approach such agents of darkness, we sense they are not of God but we still collect their herbs or products and say we prefer living than dying and we consequently establish satanic covenants with these evil people that will need serious hands to destroy in the name of Jesus. In Togo, I was told there was or still is a man who heals people with herbs and he seemed to be getting results. These happened some years ago and I was very sick and my parents were convincing me to go get help from him since modern medicine together with surgery had failed me. As soon as they started talking to me about that agent of darkness I just knew he wasn’t of God. I’m sorry I can’t explain how because I don’t know how to explain it to you my dear brethren. My parents insisted and I asked them simple questions like “where does he live?” and they said in a bush. Is he a Christian? They said; “Well he is not an evil person”. He goes to a church I don’t believe is of God that I don’t want to mention here because of the sensitive nature of this case. My parents went on to tell me that it’s a gift he has from “God” and he uses it to help others. I categorically told them I’m not moving an inch though I was dying. Beloved, that so called man prepared some concoction for a girl who was suffering from epilepsy and she got temporarily healed and after exactly a year the sickness resurfaced in a very violent fashion. Now, they always have to be sending the lady to the place for help thereby establishing satanic covenants without their knowledge. Precious ones, do you know the girl’s father is a pastor? Be wise in these last days and say no to the agents of darkness even if you have to lose your life for Jesus for “…whoever loses his life for my sake shall find it” – Matthew 16-25.

A wise Christian doesn’t disdain modern medicine. If they have to go to hospital for a surgery, they do so without hesitation because they believe it’s God who is healing them through another means. I have seen some believers lose their lives because they were told by their leaders than modern medicine is diabolical but that assertion is not true. These precious souls refused to take medicine on their sick beds and waited for God to come and heal them but that divine intervention never found expression in their lives and they exited this world prematurely and in an unwise manner.

If you value your life, you will go to hospital when your faith fails you. I know of some Christians too who refused to go to hospital and got miraculously healed because of their walk with God or God’s mercy! Please, let’s be wise in our Christian walk and make God proud. Don’t expect God to come and heal you when he has given you doctors to handle what they (doctors) should handle so that God and his servants (men and women) of God can rest. Was Luke, the disciple or apostle of Christ Jesus not a physician (doctor)? Did Jesus downplay his profession? Never! If you have the opportunity to send a loved one to hospital do that as you also pray and believe God for healing. Don’t make a mistake by saying that sending that loved one to hospital is an indication of lack of faith and later lose them and blame your church or pastors later. Please, be wise!

If you value your health too, you wouldn’t downplay regular checkups. I was under the weather last week and I thought it was malaria like we all think in Africa. So I did my self medication to no avail so I finally went to the doctor who conducted a test on me and found out that I was suffering from mild typhoid. He prescribed some medicine for me and here I am hale and hearty. Praise Jesus! Medical checkups wouldn’t cost you a fortune my dear. It’s better to be healthy and enjoy life than to be sick and not being able to enjoy your wealth and life. When we have a headache, menstrual problems, stomachache among others in Ghana or Africa we say conclude by saying it’s malaria. Can u imagine? Hey! God, have mercy! Please, you wouldn’t lose anything if you go and see a doctor as soon as you realize you are not fine. Do you know, if I hadn’t gone to hospital, I wouldn’t be fine and maybe the worst could have happened to me and God may not have intervened though He can heal all kinds of sicknesses and diseases?

Drinking at a least enough water is indicative of the fact that you value your health too. As you drink enough water, you will realize that your urine will be very light and the lighter it is the better. Don’t keep too much urine in your bladder and be procrastinating. Once you feel the need to go to the washroom, please go oh go! Please, don’t be lazy to the detriment of your health. I know you are very wise so if you used to do that, you have put an end to it now in the name of Jesus! Keeping too much urine in your bladder can cause you serious health issues.

Don’t consume too much salt. Read on food and nutrition to become a better person for Daniel said “I understood by books”. We have no excuse these days especially if we are educated. We can get all the information we need on internet, books, in seminars or from specialists. Let’s always avail ourselves to studying and be approved of the Lord.

Eating heavy foods as well as fast food late in the night can be detrimental to your health. Why eat “banku, fufu, kenkey” or any other heavy food late in the night consistently? Isn’t it possible that kind of diet could attract obesity or any other related sickness? I know of some folks who can take indomie late in the night and retire to bed immediately after eating it. That’s opening the door for indigestion or heart burn problems that could have a heavy toll on your health my friend. Please, you can eat your indomie but not late in the night or regularly. Do you want to maintain your shape as a woman? Don’t wait for God to come and do it because he will never do it for it’s your responsibility. Receive the wisdom of Elohim!

Finally, walk with the wise for whoever walks with the wise shall be wise but the company of fools shall be destroyed. Don’t always be in the company smokers and other bad people for if all your friends are 10 and they are all not wise, please I assure you you didn’t count well, they are actually 11 “for evil communication corrupt good manners” – 1 Corinthians 15: 33.

You and I are wise Christians! Folly is not our portion! We shall go far in life and destiny. Because of the display of wisdom in our lives at our workplace, in our homes, churches, areas, we shall be sought after by all and sundry.

The little and great shall come and sit under our feet to be directed and guided in life with respect to decisions regarding all aspect of their lives. The world will notice that grace in us and through that we shall win massive souls for Jesus our Master and King in Jesus name!!!

Disguised Blessings

“No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 MSG

I would like to share a chapter from my current read (Tramp for the Lord) that I’ve been meditating upon. It is a testament of author and missionary Corrie Ten Boom on how a newborn infant saved an entire family.

..and a little child shall lead them. Isaiah 11:6 (KJV)

One of my greatest privileges is visiting with missionaries all over the world. Those of us who live in the comfort and security of our homes cannot begin to imagine what the life of a missionary is like. Many of them have no fresh water and only simple food. They constantly face the threat of sickness and infection. Some live in primitive places where their very lives are in danger.

Much to my sadness, yet to the glory of God, the list is growing longer each day of men and women who are literally laying down their lives for Jesus’ sake on the mission field. These men and women stand on the front lines, often in lonesome places, but knowing that their Master who has placed them there will also stand with them.

Once in a primitive spot in Africa I visited a missionary couple. Their small home was located in a delightful spot that gave a beautiful view of lakes and mountains. They had very little of this world’s goods, but were rich in God’s grace and had been given a homesite that many wealthy people would pay thousands of dollars to have as their own. Crowded into this tiny Shack were six children, the youngest just a few months old. “Come with me,” the missionary wife said as she picked up the baby and walked outside. “I want to tell you a story.” We sat on a bench overlooking an awesome scene of grandeur.

Spreading before us was a mighty view of the mountains, covered with deep jungles and spotted with lakes and waterfalls. “To have many little children can be a burden for a missionary,” she said. “There comes a time when you have to send them to the homeland because there are no good schools here. But while they are small you try to enjoy them.

She paused and looked down at the sweet baby asleep in her arms. Her voice was tense with emotion as she continued. “But when I learned I was going to have another baby, I rebelled against God. We already had five small children and it did not seem fair that we should have to bear another. My health was not good and I looked upon having another child with great sorrow and unhappiness.

Tears were streaming down her face as she talked. “Was it not enough to have five children? Oh, how my heart cried out at God and there were times when I wished He would take the baby from me. “The time for the birth was here. I was very weak and there were no doctors nearby. We had no one to leave the other children with, so my husband put us all in the car and drove us into a town where there was a good mission hospital. There we stayed until the baby was born.”

The tiny child stirred in her arms, stretched her little arms and yawned. How precious she looked! The mother’s voice grew soft. “When we returned to our house with the new baby we learned that in the short days we had been gone the dreaded Mau Mau had come. They had murdered every white person in the entire area. Had we been home we would have all been killed.”

She hugged the little baby to her breast, tears flowing down her face. “This little darling was sent by God to save all our lives. Never again shall I rebel against His ways for our lives.”

Such an unexpected deliverance. What were the odds that of all times, it was during their absence in their mission home that people evaded the town on a rampage to slaughter. Couldn’t God have found an alternative way to deliver them? That’s a valid question but had He chosen to deliver them some other way, would they have heeded in the manner that they did? Would they have been rebellious/stubborn? An alternative escape might have even gone unnoticed and cost the entire family their lives.

I am not sure who this message is for and what you may be enduring in this season of your life. These words are a reminder however that if you’re walking this journey with God, you are fully reliant on His will and trusting His leading, you will emerge with a testimony too.

“Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.” James 1:2-4 MSG

For many Christians, we battle with low moments and/or periods in our lives when we feel like we’re at a dead end. When nothing you try doing seems to be working. When your hard-work and toil are yielding nothing. When your service to ministry is not showing forth any rewards. Like someone put it, you feel like you’re between the devil and the deep blue sea, as though every day your life is graduating from frying pan to fire.

You may feel tormented. You may feel rejected and dejected. In such a period of life, you probably have no one else to look up to but God. And even with that, your prayers seem unheard or answers to them are delayed. Rest assured that the God who knows the end from the beginning has it all worked out for those who trust in Him and hold on to His words.

“I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!” Isaiah 65:24 NLT

I pray these words uplift your spirit, if for nothing at all. The word of the Lord is true and His promises are unfailing. Amidst the turbulence and uncertainty, never let the enemy steal your joy nor your praise. If you are still here, with breath in your lungs, then God is still worthy of your praise. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Our Heavenly Father is working behind the scenes on your behalf. I pray for you that one day very soon, your answers will manifest practically in your life and your praise and thanksgiving will resound in the corridors of heaven.

The Kingdom of God

Praise the Lord, Hallelujah! I trust that my God has been good to you, your household and all that concerns you. Today by the Grace of God I want to share with you one important truth of our Christian faith. The Kingdom of God is one of the most unthought of realities of our Christian faith. It is one subject that many believers don’t think about. If our Lord Jesus is King of Kings then certainly He has a kingdom.

In an attempt to draw your attention to this truth we will be looking at what Jesus said about the kingdom of God. Jesus likened the Kingdom to many things through parables so we can picture it and relate to it. Our journey to know the Kingdom of God starts in The Gospel according to Mark chapter 4. And here Jesus speaks about the parable of the sower.

The Bible says: Mark 4:3-8 NKJV

“Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it.

Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away.

And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”

The parable of the sower deals with four areas of reception for the seed from the sower

1. The way side

2. The stony ground

3. Among the thorns

4. On good ground

Now the four states listed above are the heart conditions of four individuals. Jesus explains further in verse 13 – 20 that the seed that the sower sows is the Word of God. He explained that there are those by the wayside where the word is sown and Satan comes immediately to take away the word that is sown in their hearts.

There are paths of righteousness laid for every believer, when you are walking on that path you are in the will and purpose of God. When you choose to not to walk the path you become a stander-by. People in this category cannot retain the word of God in their hearts. They are too open to Satan hence he can easily walk in and out of their lives.

The second category of people Jesus spoke about are the ones where the seed is sown on stony ground who when they hear the word immediately receive it with gladness, they have no roots in themselves and so the word endures only for a time. Afterward when trouble or persecution comes for the sake of the word they immediately stumble. Every believer from the day you receive Christ Jesus must endeavor to be firmly planted, rooted and grounded in Him.

“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.”Colossians 2:6-7 NKJV

“Those who are planted in the house of the Lord Shall flourish in the courts of our God.” Psalms 92:13 NKJV

The third category of heart condition are ones sown among thorns, they are the ones who hear the word, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. The wisdom of the world is to seek and prioritize all other things above the word of God. The wisdom of God according to Matthew 6:33 is to seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these other things shall be added unto you. The wisdom of God will cause the word of God to be fruitful in you. God deals with us according to the amount of knowledge (word) we have in us.

A few months ago my business partners just pulled out of our dealings and shut down their platforms to me, it became a source of great worry to me because my cash flow was just cut off. My wife and I kept praying about it but nothing seemed to change. Just in the midst of that the Archbishop beckoned to me one Sunday morning to see him after service. I did and he said to me he had been praying about the youth in the church for some time, and that each time he prays the Lord tell him am the one to pastor the youth. This was far from my plans but I said amen and took up the assignment of pastoring the youth church. I became consumed with their spiritual well-being, their spiritual growth and how God can use me to touch and change their lives. When my focus shifted to God’s business suddenly there was break through in my business. The door that was closed to me suddenly no longer even mattered because God had opened a bigger door for me to own my own platform. When you prioritize God over all other things you put God under obligation to take care of your needs.

The final heart condition are the ones sown on good ground, these are those who hear the word, accept it and bear fruit: some thirty fold, some sixty and some a hundred. This category are those who receive, believe and walk by faith on God’s word. The thirty fruits/ blessings are for those who obey God’s instructions that pertains to interpersonal relationships- love your neighbor as yourself. The sixtyfold blessing to those who give and support the kingdom of God and it’s advancement. Praying kingdom advancement prayers, engaging in soul winning, building memorials for the kingdom of God and the church of Christ Jesus. The hundred fold blessing comes from direct and swift obedience to the voice of God. In Genesis 26:12 God told Isaac not to go to Egypt but remain in the land he was, he obeyed and sowed in that land and in that same year he reaped a hundred fold because the Lord blessed him.

The level of blessings you enjoy in the kingdom of God is primarily dependent on you. God is always looking for someone to bless. Let he/she that has an ear let him/her her the word of the Lord.

Shalom, peace and life to you.

Unseen Barriers

In the past week or two I have been deliberating on a few things in scriptures which points to controlling powers and the rules of engagement in order to identify these barriers and overcome them. Today by the Grace of God I want to share with you what the Bible prescribes for victory.

Many believers walk in ignorance of the word of God. The effects of things they ignore are clearly seen in their lives. Bishop Oyedepo once said “what you don’t confront, you can never overcome”. We live in a world where physical things have spiritual dimensions to them. The spirit rules the physical. And so to be carnally (physically) minded is suicidal.

In 2 Corinthians 2:11, Apostle Paul states … “lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices”

The major strategy of the devil is to keep believers in bondage by keeping us from the word of truth that has power to librate us. And so if your are a nice Christian who does not like trouble and like minding your own business, I am here to announce to you that satan does not repeat your niceness. Once you are a believer, there is no negotiation with the devil. You need to know all that there is to our journey on earth in order to apply yourself effectively in your dominion mandate.

Ephesians 6:12 outlines what every believer is against. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Our Christian walk is one of warfare, between light and darkness. Our battle is not physical and so we don’t need military training to win. Our battle is in the spirit. Our opponents are principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places. This is a tall order and so if you relent as a believer you will be overtaken by these. The purpose of God for us is that we grow as Christians in the spirit to take these enemies on. For lack of time I will not be able to go into details on what each of the enemies represents. I will focus on one which is powers (controlling powers).

These are evil forces that place limitations and unseen barriers on families and destinies.

I will give you two examples so you understand the effects of powers on the life of a person.

A woman of God whose daughter delivered in the UK a few weeks back got a visa to visit her daughter and new born for the first time in the UK. A week before her scheduled flight, her husband gets a stroke. This is the first time she is even traveling overseas. Now she has to stay and take care of her husband.

A young man doing well in business, making good money, living life has a child out of wedlock and is taking care of his child without the desire to marry, he has two women he is studying to date, his younger brother is also living the same reality. When I observed his situation I told him, “Bro, we need to pray about this, you need to marry”. So I invited him home… He was coming from Spintex to North Legon and notified me when he set off. After an hour, I was not hearing from him so I called him and he said he was at Mallam, that his maps rerouted him.

This is a clear case of powers behind the scenes (they not only managed to distract him but absolutely diverted his course). Eventually I got him to meet us half way and we prayed; God gave him directions, he did them, got clarity to choose ‘the wife’ out of the two women and has set a wedding date now. Hallelujah!

Until you deal with unseen barriers from your bloodline and family you will be at a disadvantage.

Our solution as prescribed by the word of God is in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

By prayer you can overcome any stronghold in your life. By deploying our divine weapons we have the advantage over the enemy and his devices against us. Choose to engage in prayer today that God may bring you the deliverance and liberty He has promised through His word.

Shalom peace and life to you.

Don’t Forget!

We live in a time and a season where we are consumed by so many things that take up time energy and all our resources. The subject of Thanksgiving is very often overlooked especially in a Christian walk.

For Thanksgiving to be effective it requires remembrance. Many times we come to God expecting a blessing which is often granted. We see our blessings and are filled with joy. Sometimes we are consumed by the blessing that we often forget the One who blessed us. We are so consumed with the healing we forget the Healer, we are so consumed with the deliverance that we forget the Deliverer. The test of our Love for God is in our resolve and relationship with God after we have received all we have prayed for.

In Deuteronomy Chapter 8 Moses admonished the Children of Israel on the need for remembrance always in relating to the Lord their God.

“Every commandment which I command you today you must be careful to observe, that you may live and multiply, and go in and possess the land of which the LORD swore to your fathers. And you shall remember that the LORD your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.”

One tragedy of humanity is forgetfulness. If you will forget what anyone has done or what anyone has been to you, do not forget the Lord your God and who He is to you.

“Beware that you do not forget the LORD your God by not keeping His commandments, His judgments, and His statutes which I command you today, lest—when you have eaten and are full, and have built beautiful houses and dwell in them; and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold are multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied; when your heart is lifted up, and you forget the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;…” Deuteronomy 8:11-14

It is so easy to forget a difficult life one has had when God blesses them and suddenly things that used to be a challenge no longer exists. Truth be told it is human nature to be drawn more to your present realities which bring you some comfort and peace. You will have to be deliberate about remembering things of the past if your present realities and experiences are going well for you.

You see after struggling to get a job after school and the hustle of jumping one trotro to another on a daily basis to get to this job, one would not deliberately remember his or her trotro days or try to relive those days consciously when they have been blessed with a car or two. Please don’t get me wrong I have had some amazing moments and met some nice people on trotros in my earlier years. But the point I am making is that it is easy to forget the experiences and the past realities where you have to wake up at 5am to be able to catch the first trotro (mini bus) to the next station in order to beat the long queue at next station just to get to work by 8am. Now by the Grace of God your life is better, you don’t need to go through that stress on a daily basis, you are comfortable at home, on the road and at work. It is easy to take the blessing for granted. You can easily forget you have gone to bed hungry before when now you can afford any dish. You can easily forget you have been been broke and despised when now you have several bank accounts with substance. You can easily forget you owned only one dress for two years. You can forget how your one shoe had a hole at the bottom when you now have ten shoes to choose from.

To be thankful requires remembrance. Imagine the children of Israel after all God did for them, after all the tangible miracles that brought them deliverance from bondage, do you know after Moses’ absence for forty days they forgot God and went into idol worship. I have come to realize that being entitled will rob you of thanksgiving because you will feel that you deserve everything, and what you deserve you don’t have to remember.

Being thankful requires that you have a reference which you can brought to bear by remembrance. I like to say remembrance is the foundation of our thanksgiving. It is what initiates the process for thanksgiving. In my earlier write ups I spoke about David who is referred to as a man after God’s own heart. The secret to David’s relationship with God Almighty is that he remembered always where God brought him out from.

He wrote Psalm 103 to remind himself of God’s place in his life and the many blessings that cannot be taken for granted;

He writes;

Bless the LORD, O my soul;

And all that is within me, bless His holy name!

Bless the LORD, O my soul,

And forget not all His benefits:

Who forgives all your iniquities,

Who heals all your diseases,

Who redeems your life from destruction,

Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

Who satisfies your mouth with good things,

So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

The LORD executes righteousness

And justice for all who are oppressed.

He made known His ways to Moses,

His acts to the children of Israel.

The LORD is merciful and gracious,

Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.

He will not always strive with us,

Nor will He keep His anger forever.

He has not dealt with us according to our sins,

Nor punished us according to our iniquities.

For as the heavens are high above the earth,

So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;

As far as the east is from the west,

So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

As a father pities his children,

So the LORD pities those who fear Him.

For He knows our frame;

My God! If this is not remembrance, I don’t know what it is. To remain relevant to the Lord requires us to remember our testimonies and speak of them. By doing so you acknowledge that you did not arrive here by yourself but by the Grace and the help of God. By remembrance you rehearse your past victories that points praise and glory to the Lord Most High.

My top three favorite people who demonstrated gratitude in the Bible and who inspire me a lot are David, Mary Magdalene and Simon the leper (who returned to thank the Lord Jesus)

David remembered his past so much that there are many notable actions he took that brought glory to God. In building his first house he purposed to build God a house first, and though the thought only was enough for God, he went ahead to provide all the materials for Solomon his son to build a temple for God.

Mary Magdalene after she had been delivered from 7 demons by Jesus came to Jesus with her expensive fragrant oil to anoint Jesus. The worth of her gift and posture was a reflection of how worthy she saw Jesus the Christ.

In Matthew 26:6-13

And when Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, a woman came to Him having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil, and she poured it on His head as He sat at the table. But when His disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste? For this fragrant oil might have been sold for much and given to the poor.”

But when Jesus was aware of it, He said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work for Me. For you have the poor with you always, but Me you do not have always. For in pouring this fragrant oil on My body, she did it for My burial. Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.”

You see, the worth you put on God will determine your response to Him. Out of the ten lepers Jesus healed only one returned to give thanks. I believe he returned because he saw his state had changed by the touch of this wonderful man. He could not go without returning to say thank you. The ten lepers were all healed but only one was made whole because he returned to give thanks. In those days it was against the customs for lepers to live in the midst of the people. They lived on the outskirts of the city far from everyone because they were considered unclean. Your attitude of gratitude will bring you wholeness.

In summary we have to remember God before we can offer worthy thanks to him. Remembrance then becomes the foundation of thanksgiving. Thanksgiving becomes the stage you put your praise on. God inhabits the praise of His people,

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise.

Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good;

His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.

Psalm 100:4

Shalom peace and life to you.

Chasing Clouds

Magnificent clouds caught my eye doing my morning run. I couldn’t help but admire nature in all its glory. How beautiful the clouds look today. Don’t the clouds look beautiful?” I asked my older daughter. She responded, “They look very beautiful. Wow!”. And then it happened. I heard in my spirit. How about you stop, take a minute and bask in the beauty of God’s glory. Pause and acknowledge Me, give me Reverence.

I was so shy and felt embarrassed to just stop and take pictures. I felt people will think I am just crazy or wonder if everything was alright. The devil whispered to me that I’m taking a risk and someone could creep up on me and drive my car off (I had two children strapped in the back seat). A thousand reasons flooded my mind why I shouldn’t stop and just worship God in the moment. Am I okay? I cannot be the only one on this ship ooo… However (drumroll🥁🥁🥁) I stopped.

People risk more to on a daily basis to take selfies, buy food, do business and even indulge in fraudulent activities to make money and it’s absolutely normal. What am I saying? Some even just park anywhere on major stretches of road to take a wee or a dump because it’s pressing (or they’re just plain indiscriminate 🤦🏽‍♀️). They don’t flinch about the possibility of being seen or mocked. Why on earth was I hesitant, afraid, ashamed maybe?

How many times have we denied God His glory, denied Him praise or worship in the moment because of flimsy excuses? How many times have we missed an opportunity to revere Him and praise His name in the moment, out of the blue? What would it cost us to pause our supposed busy lives, just to be present in His presence; to bask in the glory of His goodness.

May we not miss out on the privilege of that moment of expressing gratitude for His glory and exalting who He is because we are restricted by logic and what looks normal. May we receive the grace to glorify Him spontaneously absolutely normal henceforth.

When you take a close look at Psalm 91, you would notice that God’s promises are pivoted on dwelling in His presence. Really we have no substantial excuse to not go out of our way for Him when He gave it all for us.

Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty…

Psalm 91:9 Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge,Even the Most High, your dwelling place,…

Psalm 91: Because he has set his love upon Me,…

🎵🎶And oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God

Oh, it chases me down, fights ’til I’m found, leaves the ninety-nine

And I couldn’t earn it, and I don’t deserve it, still, You give Yourself away

Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God, yeah

There’s no shadow You won’t light up

Mountain You won’t climb up

Coming after me

There’s no wall You won’t kick down

Lie You won’t tear down

Coming after me🎶🎵

Too many words may dilute the efficacy of the message. I pray that as you read this, the Holy Spirit will indulge and invigorate your senses to acknowledge the beauty of God’s Majesty. Thank you Father for teaching us to honour You by paying attention in Jesus’ precious name. Amen.

Love, Esinam.

The opportunity cost of “woman-slaughter”

A mum said the other day that “motherhood albeit a tedious task is often referred to as rewarding”. It is evident that some women, married or not, desire to have children of their own but struggle to see a practical manifestation of this desire in their lives. Many in our society would certainly frown at any mother who portrays some signs of fatigue or dares complain with regards to their motherhood journey. Other strongly opinionated persons might even call such a mother ungrateful.

This mum proceeded to ask other mums in her community to describe ‘motherhood’ in one word. Vocabulary went flying off in all directions. There was an outpouring of several perspectives as expected. I gave it some thought and in the moment all that came to me was “WOMAN-SLAUGHTER”. How weird considering what the dictionary definition of manslaughter is.

Manslaughter /ˈmanslɔːtə/ the crime of killing a human being without malice aforethought, or in circumstances not amounting to murder.

Question is why woman slaughter though? Right from the moment conception takes place, a woman’s body begins to metamorphose in order to create, birth and nurture another human being. This takes a toll on her anatomy and impacts her life physically, emotionally, psychologically etc etc. The gamut of experiences that women go through is unique for each and can almost never be compared regardless of the sample size under consideration. There definitely are some similarities in what certain women deal with regarding their birth journeys.

Men on the flip side also deal with their own trolley of baggage however as a woman my perspective on their struggle will be very limited. I will therefore just focus on the feminine side of life. I neither intend to exaggerate nor undermine anyone’s pain or struggle with my perspective on this matter. Now to answer the question on my choice of words; ‘woman-slaughter’! It is incredible how much women deal with on a daily and especially when children come into play in their lives. From taking career breaks, to being undermined in the workplace, to juggling motherhood-school-career-religious and social commitments. Ha! The list can go on and on.

Many women maintain a high head and a gentle smile just to keep putting one foot before the other. It’s almost like living a facade to ensure that our families, jobs and society as a whole are well catered for. No woman wants to ever look and even deeper, feel like a failure. How often have women not shelved their visions for later or killed their dreams and passions altogether just to ensure that life is seemingly normal and comfortable for everyone else but themselves? The opportunity cost paid can be so expensive sometimes but we convince ourselves that it is worth it.

Have you ever thought about the following… ( I am sure many have but dare not say it out loud). Why is it easier for you to sacrifice so much to portray a seemingly perfect life while hurting inside however it is so tough to embrace living in the perfect will of God and walking strictly by His ordinances? Do I still have your attention please? This question is not to just women, it is also to men. Is it not an even more rewarding price to pay to know that living right with Christ here on earth assures you of a better life in eternity?

The good book says “Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. – Matthew 16:25-25 (NLT)”

Submitting your will in its entirety seems like a very huge risk to take as far as common sense is debated based off of man’s wisdom. The best investment to make for eternity is to surrender your life, your will, completely to Jesus Christ. It is the most rewarding “WOMAN-SLAUGHTER” to engage in. Is it an easy path to take? Certainly not!, however Gods word promises that:

The LORD will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring. – Isaiah 58:11

I pray that you will not be led by life’s circumstances but by the Holy Spirit. I pray that your heart will be filled with contentment. I pray that you will see and hear the voice of the Most High God. I pray that you will manifest your dreams and visions according to God’s divine purpose for your life. And above all may you find fulfillment and satisfaction and may your joy be full all the days of your life. Stay topped up and prayed up in Jesus Name, Amen.

Love, Esinam.

LISTEN

As Christians, many a time we pray fervently for God to speak to us or show us a sign and we expect Him to speak in a specific manner (through dreams, visions, a Prophet, an unusual circumstance or disruption of the elements). Some of us have even flipped Bibles to miraculously open to a page where a verse will jump up to us for direction.

Prophet Elijah had a similar experience:

11 “Go out and stand before me on the mountain,” the Lord told him. And as Elijah stood there, the Lord passed by, and a mighty windstorm hit the mountain. It was such a terrible blast that the rocks were torn loose, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. 12 And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper. 13 When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave.

And a voice said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

1 Kings 19:11-13 NLT

Don’t get me wrong, several people have had their breakthroughs or impact revealed in these forms. However we need to understand that God mostly speaks to us in the ‘language’ that we understand and this could be in the minute details of our everyday lives that we tend to conveniently ignore.

By all means, spend personal time digging into the word. Make time to meditate on God’s word and ruminate it as much as you can. It forms the foundation to hear from Him. Communication is 3D, speaking-listening-understanding. Each element is divinely critical.

Observe the journey of your life through the mirror of His word and you will notice that along the way He has been speaking all along. God speaks to each of us uniquely; just as purely as His love for each one is. Just as we pray and meditate, we need to be intentional about LISTENING.

After all Job endured to keep his faith, God still asked him to listen:

“Give ear, Job, listen to me;

Hold your peace, and I will speak.

If you have anything to say, answer me;

Speak, for I desire to justify you.

If not, listen to me;

Hold your peace, and I will teach you wisdom.”

Job 33:31-33 NKJV

Read good books, watch inspiring videos, listen to great sermons BUT after all these LISTEN TO HIM. He yearns to commune with us if only we will give Him our time.

Clarity usually occurs when we pause and listen…

REVERENCE

The word REVERENCE stems from the English word Revere and in Latin Reverentia/ Revereri meaning “to stand in awe of”. To revere God means to illuminate His sovereignty in our lives. Let’s take a cue from the book of Job.

Satan believed that Job loved God because God had blessed him and shielded him. For him, if God took away His protection and stripped Job of the good gifts, he will turn his back to God. But God knows His own, he sees the heart and deepest desires. He could boast that Job would fear Him still (i.e. revere Him) even if He took away all that he had. “Have you considered my servant Job?”

Let’s see Job’s first test:

“One day the members of the heavenly court came to present themselves before the Lord, and the Accuser, Satan, came with them. “Where have you come from?” the Lord asked Satan. Satan answered the Lord, “I have been patrolling the earth, watching everything that’s going on.” Then the Lord asked Satan, “Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth. He is blameless—a man of complete integrity. He fears God and stays away from evil.” Satan replied to the Lord, “Yes, but Job has good reason to fear God. You have always put a wall of protection around him and his home and his property. You have made him prosper in everything he does. Look how rich he is! But reach out and take away everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face!” “All right, you may test him,” the Lord said to Satan. “Do whatever you want with everything he possesses, but don’t harm him physically.” So Satan left the Lord’s presence.”

Job 1:6-12 NLT

Even when God is testing us He stills looks out for our best interest. Consider that although he gave satan full access to Job and all he possessed, He entreated him not to harm him physically. Our God cares. As the story of Job’s first test unfolds, notice that the devil deploys three tools to inflict hurt on Job. He stole his cattle and oxen, he killed his shepherds and children and he destroyed his property.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

John 10:10

The life that God has freely gifted us is one embellished with flourishing and abundance. The tests we endure are processes to weigh our motives and our hearts to ascertain if the outward characters we portray are a true reflection of our reverence for God.

Job’s trials came all at once and suddenly. Out of nowhere he began to experience pain and loss. The test you are facing now be it financial loss, marital challenges, emotional torture, social imbalances, psychological trauma, whatever it may be could be as a result of something you are actually doing right (provided you are obeying God’s ordinances and walking in His will). The word of God entreats us to be steadfast…

So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.

1 Corinthians 15:58

God is on our side and His has our best interest at heart. The purification of our hearts is to make us vessels of honour; to reveal the Glory of God’s divine nature. In our moments of pain, of struggle, of failure, of weakness, we may grief or be angry but only for a period. We must never forget our fear of God. We must return to worship Him for we are because HE IS!!

“Job stood up and tore his robe in grief. Then he shaved his head and fell to the ground to worship. He said, “I came naked from my mother’s womb, and I will be naked when I leave. The Lord gave me what I had, and the Lord has taken it away. Praise the name of the Lord!” In all of this, Job did not sin by blaming God.”

Job 1:20-22 NLT

🎶 You are beautiful beyond description. Too marvelous for words. Too wonderful for comprehension. Like nothing ever seen or heard. Who can grasp Your infinite wisdom. Who can fathom the depths of Your love. You are beautiful beyond description. Majesty enthroned above 🎶

We can portray reverence through our attitude, our focus and our actions. I pray that you begin to manifest the best version of yourself as led by the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Love, Esinam.

Return to the Lord

Jeremiah 8:4–22 paints a heartbreaking picture of a people who had drifted so far from God that they no longer even attempted to return. They had fallen, but refused to rise. They had turned away, but would not turn back. Yet even in His disappointment, God’s words were not filled with wrath alone—they were filled with an aching desire for His people to come home.

Beloved, Scripture makes it clear:

There is no one who is sinless.

Even the most celebrated men and women of faith had deeply flawed stories.

• David—an adulterer and a murderer—yet he knew how to return with a broken and contrite heart.

• Abraham—a liar out of fear—yet he walked back into the covenant path God laid before him.

• Jacob—a deceiver—yet he wrestled until his identity and destiny were redeemed.

What made them great was not their perfection, but their posture of repentance. They returned. They turned their faces back to God and the Lord, in His faithfulness, responded with mercy. This is the same promise God makes to us in:

Isaiah 1:18

“Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.”

1 John 1:8–9

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us… and cleanse us.

Repentance was never meant to be complicated. It was never meant to be a ladder to climb. Repentance is simply the heart turning back to the Father who already stands with open arms.

But in Jeremiah’s day, something tragic happened:

The leaders made repentance difficult.

The priests no longer taught truth. The scribes no longer believed the words they copied. Some prophets preached only what the people wanted to hear. They offered comfort without conviction, and affirmation without alignment to the will of God. This caused the people to drift further into deception, presumption, and spiritual numbness.

Yet even then, God kept calling, “Return unto Me.” Not in condemnation, but in longing.

Not in shame, but in love. Because while God is patient and merciful, He is also holy and just.

Galatians 6:7–8 reminds us:

“God is not mocked… whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”

This is not a threat—it is a gentle caution.

It is God reminding us that the seeds of disobedience will always yield sorrow, but the seeds of repentance will always yield life. And here is the good news: It is never too late to return.

Not for the weary.

Not for the broken.

Not for the one who strayed.

Not for the one who messed up again and again.

The Lord is still healing—

just as Jeremiah cried out in Jeremiah 8:22,

“Is there no balm in Gilead?”

Yes, beloved.

There is a balm.

There is a Healer.

There is restoration.

That balm is Jesus.

That healing is His mercy.

That restoration is His forgiveness.

That renewal is His Spirit drawing us back into fellowship.

So today, if your heart feels heavy…

If your steps have strayed…

If your spirit feels distant…

If your fire feels faint…

Hear the voice of the Lord whispering:

“Return to Me, My child.

Come as you are.

Come with your weakness.

Come with your wounds.

Come with your truth.

My arms are open.”

Returning to the Lord is not a shameful walk—

It is the beginning of healing.

It is the doorway to peace.

It is the path of joy.

It is the road back to purpose.

No matter how far you have gone…

No matter how long you have stayed away…

No matter what you have done…

The Father is waiting to receive you.

Let your heart rise.

Let repentance wash you.

Let mercy restore you.

Let love welcome you back.

This is the hour to return to the Lord.

Not in fear—but in faith.

Not with guilt—but with gratitude.

Not as a stranger—but as a beloved child.

His mercy is still fresh.

His arms are still open.

His love is still calling.

Come home.

Come whole.

Come healed.

Return to the Lord—and live.

With Love, Esinam.

Hold fast in Faith

As the year draws to a close and the weight of global, national, corporate and even personal pressures hang heavily over many hearts, Scripture invites us to look again at a timeless truth: God has always walked with men and women who dared to believe Him in impossible times.

Hebrews 11:32–40

Hebrews 11 paints a breathtaking mural of ordinary people who became extraordinary because they chose to cling to God with unwavering trust. They were not all prophets or priests. They were farmers, warriors, judges, homemakers, rulers, shepherds, craftsmen, widows, and merchants. They lived in palaces and caves, in bustling cities and in lonely deserts. Some conquered kingdoms; others endured persecutions. Some saw miracles; others were sustained in suffering.

But they all had one thing in common:

They carried the presence of God into their everyday lives.

They never separated their spirituality from their work, their calling, or their season of life. Whether on the battlefield, in a marketplace, in a classroom, or in a quiet home, they lived with the consciousness that God was with them.

Beloved, this is our invitation too.

You may be a teacher, artist, parent, nurse, banker, entrepreneur, student, or civil servant—your “secular” assignment is not separate from your spiritual walk. In God’s eyes, there is no divide. You carry His light into every environment He places you in.

In 2 Corinthians 4:10 Paul says we “always carry about in our body the dying of the Lord Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may be made manifest in us.”

This is the quiet beauty of our faith:

Even when we are pressed, Christ’s life pushes back. Even when we feel empty, His glory fills the gaps. Even when situations feel life-threatening—emotionally, financially, relationally—His resurrection power finds expression in us.

Many of the men and women listed in Hebrews 11 faced dark valleys. Their lives were often on the line. They were misunderstood, opposed, betrayed, abandoned. Yet they remained planted in society—not running from their generation but shining within it.

They overcame because they kept God in front of them.

According to Galatians 3:26–28, this is not a calling for a select few.

It is your calling.

It is my calling.

It is the calling of every child of God.

Neither gender nor background, nationality nor social status disqualifies anyone from being used by God.

All God needs is your yes.

All heaven requires is your faith.

Jesus declared in John 11:40, “If you believe, you will see the glory of God.”

As this year draws to a close and perhaps the global and national economy paints a bleak picture, the words of Jesus stand unchanged and unshaken: Your belief is the doorway to God’s glory.

Yes, circumstances may look tough. Yes, the year may not have unfolded exactly as you envisioned. Yes, certain prayers may still be in process. But your dedication to God—your decision to keep believing, keep praying, keep working, keep showing up—will carry you through.

The heroes of old obtained a testimony not because life was easy, but because faith kept them going when sight failed them. And so will you. You will not end this year in shame. You will see God’s goodness in the land of the living. You will finish with grace, strength, and surprising breakthroughs.

Walk with this assurance:

God is not done with this year.

He is not done with His promises.

He is not done with you.

Keep your heart steady.

Keep your eyes lifted.

Keep your hands to the plow.

Your faith is working. Your dedication is not in vain.

And as Jesus said,

“If you believe, you will see the glory of God.”

May hope rise within you.

May faith steady your feet.

May perseverance crown your year.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

With Love, Esinam.

Destiny Helper

When David was hiding in the wilderness, weary and discouraged, God sent help—not randomly, not accidentally, but intentionally. God always brings help for His own. Sometimes He uses people; other times He uses situations, timing, or even creation itself. Nothing is outside His control, and nothing is beyond His reach.

(1 Samuel 23:15–29)

In the days of Deborah, Scripture says, “The stars in their courses fought against Sisera.” (Judges 5:20–21) What a reminder that when God gives a command, all creation bends in obedience—winds, waters, angels, and even the hearts of men.

In David’s story, help came through Jonathan.

A loyal friend. A pure heart. A man who had nothing to gain and everything to lose—yet God used him. Jonathan became David’s shield, informant, and covering, exposing Saul’s schemes and opening the door for David’s escape.

This is why we must choose your associations deliberately. Some relationships drain you. Some distract you. But those that are sent by God will deliver you. We must endeavour to walk with people who carry clean hearts and discernment.

Beloved, when you feel surrounded, remember:

“He who watches over Israel neither sleeps nor slumbers.” (Psalm 121:4). And the Lord still says, “Touch not my anointed.” (Psalm 105:15). You are not unprotected. You are not unseen. You are not abandoned.

So hand over your challenges to God—all of them. He knows the path you cannot see.

He knows the escape route before the battle even begins. In Christ, you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37)—not because of your strength, but because of His unfailing love.

And hear this with fresh faith:

“Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth.” (Isaiah 43:19)

God is never late. Every delay has a purpose, and every promise has an appointed time.

No longer will God’s word concerning you be a proverb or a distant dream. There shall be manifestation. There shall be evidence. There shall be fulfillment.

Walk into the new by faith. Stay sensitive to His leading. And may your life overflow with the goodness of the God who rescues, restores, and remembers His own. Remain blessed in Jesus’ Name.

With Love, Esinam.

Powerful God

“The LORD reigns, He is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed in majesty and armed with strength.” — Psalm 93:1

Beloved, Psalm 93 is not poetic exaggeration; it is a revelation of the indescribable majesty of God. The psalmist lifts our eyes beyond creation, beyond human government, beyond principalities and powers, and fixes them on the One whose throne predates time itself. Before angels were formed, before galaxies were suspended in space, before the first grain of dust was spoken into existence—God already was. His reign is not voted in and cannot be voted out. It is not supported by polls and cannot be shaken by human rebellion.

He is King from eternity to eternity, clothed—not with fabric—but with majesty, glory, and power.

When you read, “The LORD reigns,” it means every kingdom bows, every system submits, every force of darkness surrenders. His sovereignty is not theoretical; it is active, prevailing, and visible in the affairs of men.

Psalm 93 speaks of the seas lifting up their voices. In Hebrew imagery, the sea represents chaos, rebellion, and spiritual disorder—the same chaotic waters mentioned in Genesis 1:2:

“Darkness was over the surface of the deep…”

Those waters symbolize what is untamed, uncontrollable, and threatening. Yet what did God do?

“And God said…” — Genesis 1:9–10

At the sound of His voice, the chaos rearranged itself. At His word, the waters withdrew. At His command, boundaries were drawn.

Beloved, this is not ancient poetry. This is a portrait of how God deals with every chaotic force in your life. The same God who set boundaries for the seas has set boundaries for the battles in your life. Nothing can cross its limit without His permission.

I read about a missionary couple who travelled into a region known for heavy occult activity. Every night, intimidating manifestations would try to disturb them—objects moving, doors shaking, voices whispering. But the moment they stood together and declared, “The Lord reigns in this house,” the atmosphere shifted instantly. The disturbances stopped permanently. Why? Because when God’s sovereignty is declared, the waves retreat.

Like the God of Psalm 93, He still rules the floods. He still calms the waves. He still sets boundaries for storms—both natural and spiritual.

Psalm 93 concludes with a powerful reminder:

“Holiness adorns Your house, O LORD, forever.” — Psalm 93:5

The God who rules the seas is also the God who demands a holy people. Leviticus 19:2 declares:

“Be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.”

The majesty of God shapes the morality of His people. The One who commands creation expects consecration. A holy God desires holy vessels. Holiness is not legalism—it’s alignment. It is the life of God expressed in human character.

Just as God sets boundaries for the sea, the Holy Spirit sets boundaries in our hearts. Galatians 5 teaches that when the Spirit reigns in us, He produces fruit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-control. These are not human achievements; they are divine evidences that the King is ruling within.

The God who controls the waters can control your circumstances. The God who reigns over creation can reign in your heart. The God who sets boundaries for the seas can set boundaries for the enemy in your life.

Therefore, let us walk in holiness. Let us walk in the Spirit and let our lives be the evidence that the King of Glory still reigns.

With Love, Esinam.

FIAT JUSTITIA

Doth God pervert judgement? Or doth the Almighty pervert justice? (Job 8v3) Nay, touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: He is excellent in power, and in judgement, and in plenty of Justice: He will not afflict. (Job 37v23). For the LORD is a God of judgment (Elohei mishpat- the God of Justice): blessed are all they that wait for Him (Isaiah 30v18). His justice and mercy are seen most vividly in the cross of Christ.

‘Fiat’ is a latin word meaning ‘let it be done’; It basically refers to an order or decree by the court relating to routine matters. The term ‘Fiat justitia’ simply means ‘Let Justice be done’ It is no mean fact that to do Justice and Judgement is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice. (Prov.21v3). Justice is s fundamental nature of God – He shows no respect of persons, no partiality, He is a just God and a Saviour whose judgement is just (John5v30) Do you see the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgement and justice? ‘Fiat Justitia’ – ‘Do justice’– rectify it, for thus saith the LORD in Isaiah 56:1, ‘Keep ye judgement, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.’

Now the Cambridge dictionary defines justice basically as fairness in the way people are dealt with, with synonyms like equity and impartiality. Justice also refers to the system of laws in a country that judges and punishes people. Justice is a quality, a principle or ideal of being just, impartial, or fair; just dealing or right action, and Conformity to – this principle or ideal (Righteousness), the Law, and to truth, fact, or reason (Correctness). Merriam-Webster explains Justice as the administration of law especially the establishment or determination of rights according to the rules of law or equity. Thus, we are to maintain and administer what is just especially by the impartial adjustment of conflicting claims or the assignment of merited rewards or punishments.

The Black’s law dictionary, similarly, outlines Justice as the fair treatment of people, the quality of being fair or reasonable; the fair and proper administration of laws and the legal system by which people and their causes are judged; esp. the system used to punish people who have committed crimes. The great Roman jurist Ulpian famously defined justice as ‘To live honourably, not to harm your neighbour, to give every one his due.’ ‘Honeste vivere, alterum non laeere, suum cuique tribuere.’ Justice is thus identical with the ethics of who should receive benefits and burdens. (Sanowski, 2005).

‘Fiat justitia’ culled from the Crown’s commission to the House of Lords to hear an appeal -the maxim “Fiat Justitia, ruat coelum” gives the extent to which we should go in pursuance of Justice. It translates thus as ‘Go heaven to wreck – so Justice be but done, and what is the ruin of kingdoms in comparison of the wreck of heaven?’ (J. Bentham, 1823). It is trite knowledge the national motto of Ghana: Freedom and Justice, representing the fundamental human rights of all men and women, boy and girl on this plane. What have you done in pursuing, administering and ensuring justice, fairness and the right thing is done? Are you guilty of this charge in Isaiah 59:4— ‘None calleth for justice, nor does any plead for truth.’ Do you trust in vanity, and speak lies, conceiving mischief (evil) and bringing forth vanity? Is there any justice in your way, in the way you treat others, as you are in a position of power?

He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6v8). How do you do this? Fiat justitia, ruat caelum. Defend the poor and the fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and the needy. (Psalm 82v3), even though the heavens come down.

King David’s administration shows us that doing judgement and Justice brings establishment. (2 Sam 8v15, 2 Chron. 9v8). As this penultimate month of 2025 breaks, being made kings and priests unto God our Father, may we do justly, according to His ancient royal word. Because justice and judgement (righteousness) are the habitation or foundation of his throne: mercy and truth shall go before his face. (Psalm 89v14). Amos 5v15 exhorts us to hate evil, love good; establish justice in the gate, that the Lord may be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.

Fiat justitia in the boardrooms and bedrooms, from the classrooms, school campuses and consulting rooms, let justice be done. In the governmental chambers to the prison cells let justice flow. From Chiefs’ palaces to administrative offices, from market squares to the kitchens, across counters and cabinets let justice flow. Treat your workers and helpers right. Let integrity and truth prevail among directors, bosses, supervisors and staff. Let it run down like water, and righteousness like a mighty stream. (Amos 5v24). Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr echoed this in 1963, as do we now, in this artificial intelligence driven 2025 dispensation for posterity, emphasizing fairness, respect for human dignity, and right treatment of our neighbours. #StopGalamseyNow!

Fiat justitia, ruat caelum. Let justice be done, though the heavens fall. Let there be corrective justice and distributive justice, as distinguished by Aristotle. Let us have maximum liberty, equality for all and zero inequality as argued by John Rawls in his theory of Justice. And in this pursuit, let justice not only be done, but should manifestly and undoubtedly be seen to be done per the dictum of Lord Hewart CJ (R v Sussex Justices), as opined by Lord Atkin in the landmark case of Shrager v Basil Dighton (1923). ‘For where justice is denied, where poverty is enforced, where ignorance prevails, and where belief of oppression exists (turning justice to wormwood –Amos5v7) …neither persons nor property will be safe.’ (Frederick Douglass, famous abolitionist, statesman, 1818-1895).

God will reveal our justice clearly as the noonday, and our righteousness will go forth as brightness (Ps37v6, Isa.62v1) for He says in Isa 61:8 ‘I, the LORD, love justice; I hate robbery for burnt offering; I will direct their work in truth…’The Lord of the Sabbath came to declare Justice to the Gentiles (Matt.12v18). Forever, O Lord thy word is settled in heaven. (Psalm 119v89). Heaven and earth will pass away, but the words of the God of Justice will by no means pass away. (Matthew 24v35). Thus, let justice be done, though the heavens fall. Fiat justitia, ruat caelum!

The Rebellion, Fall and Return

It began with a whisper in the garden.

A question—subtle, sharp, and coated with deceit.

“Did God really say…?” (Genesis 3:1)

Eve paused. The serpent’s words slithered into her heart, planting doubt where trust once grew. Adam stood close by, silent. In that brief, tragic moment, the story of humanity shifted forever.

She reached out. She took the fruit. She ate. He followed.

Suddenly, something sacred was lost.

“Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked…” (Genesis 3:7)

Shame entered the world.

The man and woman who once walked freely with God now hid among the trees they were meant to tend. The sound of His footsteps, once comforting, now stirred fear.

“Adam, where are you?” (Genesis 3:9)

It wasn’t just a question of location—it was the cry of a broken relationship.

Sin had entered, and with it came guilt, separation, and death (Romans 6:23). The perfect harmony between heaven and earth fractured. The ground was cursed. Work became toil. Childbirth became pain. The gates of Eden closed behind flaming swords.

Paul would later write,

“By one man, sin entered into the world, and death by sin…” (Romans 5:12)

What was once a garden of glory became a world of grief.

God’s Plan for Reconciliation — Love’s Pursuit

Humanity’s identity, blessings, and generations were broken because the relationship was broken.

But even as the curse echoed through creation, God’s love refused to let go.

He already had a plan.

A promise whispered through the ages — that one day, a Seed would crush the serpent’s head.

Centuries later, that promise took on flesh.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…” (John 3:16)

Love came walking again — not in a garden this time, but on dusty roads, reaching out to the broken and the bound.

Through Jesus Christ, God extended His hand once more to humanity.

“God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself…” (2 Corinthians 5:19)

He didn’t wait for man to find Him. God came running toward us.

And now, every believer carries that same ministry — to tell the world that reconciliation is possible again.

Partakers of the Promise

The blessing that started with Abraham wasn’t meant for one man; it pointed to one Seed — Christ Himself.

“Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made… and to thy Seed, which is Christ.” (Galatians 3:16)

And now, through faith in Jesus, we are included in that covenant line.

“If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians 3:29)

That means you are not only forgiven — you are blessed.

Ephesians 1:3 declares that we’ve been “blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.”

Righteousness, peace, joy, favor — all flow from restored relationship.

As one preacher said:

“The Son of God became the son of man, so the sons of men could become the sons of God.”

Walking in Generational Blessings

Why must you walk in generational blessings?

Because it’s your divine birthright.

“Christ redeemed us… that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles.” (Galatians 3:13–14)

Through Christ, you’ve been given a new identity:

“I have been crucified with Christ… and now Christ lives in me.” (Galatians 2:20)

You are no longer a product of your past — you are a reflection of His masterpiece.

“For we are God’s masterpiece, created anew in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:10)

The world is waiting for you to live in this truth.

“The earnest expectation of creation waits for the manifestation of the sons of God.” (Romans 8:19)

When you walk in your divine identity, you release heaven’s solutions into the earth.

You become a channel through which God’s light shines into dark places.

“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.” (Isaiah 60:1)

Reconnect to the Source

You were never meant to live disconnected.

From Eden to Calvary, God’s desire has always been relationship.

Blessings flow when connection is restored.

And when you walk in obedience, you don’t just walk for yourself — you walk for your children, and for generations yet to come.

“Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; He keeps covenant and mercy with those who love Him to a thousand generations.” (Deuteronomy 7:9)

So draw near again.

Rebuild the relationship.

Because the moment you reconnect to the Source, the flow of blessing begins anew — and this time, it won’t just bless you, it will bless generations.

Blessings!

Rev. Ron Chiarelli

Generational Blessings

It all began in a garden.

A vast, radiant expanse called Eden — the meeting point between heaven and earth — where God Himself stooped low and formed man from the dust. Then, with divine tenderness, He breathed into him the breath of life.

The very first words spoken over humanity were not commands or corrections — they were blessings.

“And God blessed them…” (Genesis 1:28)

This was no ordinary blessing; it was a declaration of identity. God designed humanity for intimacy with Him, for dominion over the earth, and for generational fruitfulness. Blessing was not an afterthought; it was embedded in the original blueprint of creation.

The Vertical and Horizontal Bond

Imagine Adam, surrounded by beauty, walking daily in open fellowship with God — no barriers, no shame, no fear. Yet even in this perfection, God looked and said,

“It is not good that man should be alone.” (Genesis 2:18)

So from Adam’s own side, God crafted Eve — a perfect reflection of partnership.

Now, relationship existed not just vertically (between God and man), but horizontally (between man and woman).

In this divine order, Eden flourished. Everything around them — the trees, the rivers, the animals — mirrored the peace of their relationships. The garden wasn’t just a home; it was the atmosphere of blessing birthed from relationship.

The Benefits of Relationship with God

1. Divine Covering: The Glory of God

In those early days, Adam and Eve stood naked and unashamed.

“They were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.” (Genesis 2:25)

No guilt. No insecurity. Just radiant transparency covered by God’s glory.

The psalmist later wrote,

“You have crowned him with glory and honor.” (Psalm 8:5)

God’s glory wasn’t just around them — it was their covering.

2. Divine Purpose and Provision

Eden was not a place of survival; it was a place of abundance.

God placed Adam in the garden to tend and to keep it (Genesis 2:15–16). His work was purpose-filled, and his needs were already supplied.

Centuries later, Paul would echo the same truth:

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory.” (Philippians 4:19)

God’s presence and provision have always been inseparable.

3. Friendship with God

Then comes one of the most tender scenes in Scripture:

“And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day…” (Genesis 3:8)

Can you picture it? The Creator of the universe walking side by side with His creation. Not as a distant ruler, but as a friend. The “cool of the day” suggests a peaceful rhythm of communion — a daily fellowship.

But one day, that rhythm was broken. Sin crept in, and Adam hid. Fellowship fractured.

God still called out, “Where are you?” — not because He didn’t know, but because He longed for restoration.

The principle remains true:

“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” (Amos 3:3)

From Abraham, who was called “a friend of God” (James 2:23), to Jesus calling His disciples friends (John 15:15), the story of Scripture is the story of a God seeking friendship with humanity.

And His invitation still stands:

“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:8)

4. Generational Blessings Through Covenant Relationship

Throughout Scripture, one truth repeats like a drumbeat: those who walk with God secure blessings that outlive them.

• God blessed Adam and Eve — “Be fruitful and multiply.” (Genesis 1:28)

• God blessed Noah and his sons — “Be fruitful and fill the earth.” (Genesis 9:1)

• God blessed Abraham — “In you, all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis 12:3)

• God blessed Isaac — reaffirming His covenant (Genesis 26:2–5).

• God blessed Jacob — extending the promise (Genesis 28:13–15; 35:12).

• God blessed Joseph — whose obedience preserved nations.

Each of them walked before God in obedience. Relationship was the thread that linked their stories — and the key that unlocked generational blessings.

From Eden to Abraham, from Adam’s first breath to the covenant of Christ, one truth remains:

Generational blessings are not secured by striving, but by relationship.

When we walk with God — in friendship, in obedience, in love — we don’t just receive blessings for ourselves; we plant seeds for generations yet unborn.

Blessings!

You are a Threat to Satan (6)

Another sign that shows that you are a threat to the kingdom of the devil is that you easily influence people. This simply means that the mantle of leadership is upon you anywhere you go. These places could be in your immediate environment, family, school, place of work, and even in church. You’re always singled out to lead. I remember, wheh I was in school, anytime, we had to choose a class prefect, almost everyone in the class mentioned my name. The more I tried running away from that leadership mantle, the more I was chosen in my subsequent classes. With time, I noticed that people always gather around me for counsel. Have you ever had this experience in your life?In some families, sometimes, God intentionally put this leadership mantle on a woman and not a man like he did in the case of Deborah who was ordained as a prophetess and a judge as evidenced in Judges 4:4-5: Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time. She held court under the Palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites went up to her to have their disputes decided. Can you imagine, a woman was not only a wife but also someone who was God’s mouthpiece, and in addition to that, she settled disputes? In other words, she was called ” My Lord or my Lady,” as judges are called. Men and women submitted to her authority. In the realm of the spirit, there’s no difference between man and woman. I know of a lady in a family who almost decides on everything peacefully and lovingly in her family even though she was still jobless. Her parents and working siblings themselves admitted she the youngest one is their leader. The devil doesn’t play with such people. He will come for them, but remember he will not succeed. If you can mobilize people and put an idea in their heads and they believe in it and follow you, you are dangerous, especially as a Christian. Even if you are not a Christian, you become a threat because if the devil can get you, this means he will get everyone under you. Sometimes, when the enemy recognizes that leadership mantle on you, what he does is that, he decides to frustrate you or attack those who are close to you ( your family or people directly connected to you). He sometimes can make your children go wayward so that naysayers can question your God or discredit your ministry or you yourself. When this happens, we are to use wisdom and pray for them and not criticize them. Why don’t people who are in the world or who are not leaders go through such an ordeal but rather figure heads? Do you have the answer now?

Matthew 4: 19- 20 reads, ” Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people. At once, they left their nets and followed him.” This is powerful.  It’s a mark of leadership. Have you noticed that, when it comes to winning souls, ushering people, or convincing people to buy a product, you are just good at it? You effortless and people buy into your ideas or follow you. It’s a unique grace that leaders have. You don’t struggle to capture the attention of men for the glory of Jesus. You are a leader and a threat to Satan. Do you know even in our families, some people don’t attend family meetings because  of disagreement? But you and I may not know a pastor, a leader in any other sphere but still decide to follow them and be loyal to their course? Why? They are leaders and God made it so. Even if a man of God has two committed members in his church, he’s a massive threat. Why do you think such people are committed to him? Is he the only pastor or leader? Aren’t there bigger or more flamboyant ministries around where such few members can go and have a better live? Certainly, there are but they choose to be with a leader who may not have anything good to offer them at the preliminary stages of his ministry. But God will prove His faithfulness in the lives of such leaders to shame the devil. Don’t mind those who insult, and tarnish your image or spread lies on you and your ministry, business or project. They will start their nonsense, but it will come to an end for He who called you is faithful.

What then must you do?. Go get books on leadership. Buy them and study around your grace. Are you called as a businessman? Get books around that field. Are you a counselor? Get books on counseling. “Study to show yourself approved” and attend seminars on leadership and put into practice whatever you learn. And ask God to multiply your grace in prayer.

For some, whenever they speak, there’s an unusual wisdom that comes out from their mouth that they didn’t think about or not planned. These people may not personally be aware of this special leadership grace upon their lives. People end up coming to them for advice and also say they’re a man/ woman of advice. Luke 21:15 “For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. There was this brother in our church who had this special grace. Anytime he spoke at meetings and gave suggestions or shared his views on pertinent issues confronting the church, I could discern the source of his ideas were not earthly but divine, trust me. I fell in love with him because the guy could speak on any issue, and you would be convinced he spoke well, and if you take his words, you wouldn’t regret it.

Don’t become proud when you notice this leadership grace on your life. Be humble for God lifts the humble and debases the proud. The more you remain humble the more God will increase you like he did to Joseph and everyone including unbelievable will know God has anointed your lips to speak his wisdom. That’s why Pharaoh asked them, “Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the spirit of God?” – Genesis 41:38.   Learn to talk when necessary and keep secrets.

Because you are a discreet person, I see you speaking to kings addressing nobles and counseling the great in life and society. May your tongue be losed like the way God did it for Apostle Arome Osayi who was a stammerer before the Lord lifted him.

Shalom.

You are a Threat to Satan (5)

Let’s worship Jesus together with this powerful song:

We are standing on holy ground.

And I know there are angels all around.

Let us praise Jesus now

We are standing in His presence on Holy ground.

Surely, the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants, the prophets( or believers). – Amos 3:7.

If you are indeed a believer filled with the Holy Spirit, one of the ways by which God would speak to you will be through the prophetic ( dreams, visions, or even trances). If you have been reading our write ups consistently, you would notice that this very topic has been extensively discussed but don’t be bored for Bishop James Saah always says ” repetition is the mother of learning “. Besides, this food maybe the same for some of us, but the taste will surely make a difference. Is there something hidden from human eyes? God will not hesitate to reveal it to His chosen people. Some people are so prophetic to the extent that they easily pick signals either in dreams or as soon as you meet them. When the devil notices that fellow who sees his plans and thwarts them, he automatically becomes his target but remember the devil will always lose the battle because ” such a fellow is dead and hidden in Christ and in God”.

These kinds of people cannot be taken unaware. They pick danger before it happens. Is it a car earmarked for an accident? They will see or sense it and will” escape the snare of the fowler.” Sometimes, they don’t escape alone. If they warn passengers on board and they listen, the obedient ones also enjoy God’s divine protection and preservation.

We read in 2 Kings 6:12-13

12. “It’s not us, my lord, the king,” one of the officers replied. “Elisha, the prophet in Israel, tells the king of Israel even the words you speak in the privacy of your bedroom!”

13 “Go and find out where he is,” the king commanded, “so I can send troops to seize him.” Do you understand the scripture above? How did a mortal man like Elisha know about everything the Syrian king discussed in his privacy without being told about it by anyone? This means he was assisted by the Father of all spirits. What was the reaction of the king of Syria upon hearing Elisha was the one revealing his plans to Israel? Go and get him for me! He tried it and failed big time! Are your eyes open? If they are, get ready, the devil will come for you, but hear this you shall overcome!

Spend time in prayer and fasting whether you have a problem or not, and you will be shocked at who you are. Apostle Arome Osayi said whether you’re called into the prophetic ministry or not, try spending time with the Lord at midnight by praying in tongues for at least an hour consistently. He did it for months till his eyes were open. You, too, be consistent, and you will see positive results. You will know deep things about yourself, your family and those connected to you. God too will give you solutions to the problems you see for He reveals to redeem.

You may not be sent to do ministry but rather to a different field of endeavor or to the political arena like Daniel, who was a prophet and a politician. He never used a pulpit to prove he’s a threat to the kingdom of darkness.

Imagine, you see into the spirit and you walk in the health sector and they bring you a sick person whose sickness you have been able to diagnose through the eyes of the spirit that it’s spiritual and not physical. Wouldn’t you do better than an ordinary medical doctor who doesn’t believe in spirituality. You, the prophetic medical doctor, are likely to begin to speak in tongues, speak the scriptures on the sick person and lay hands on him, and command the sickness to go, and it will go!

Later, you can administer medicine if necessary, and wonders will happen. Won’t Jesus be praised to see you are representing him without a microphone and a pulpit if you are not called into pulpit ministry?

The enemy will fight you through your colleagues at work, or he himself may afflict you, but you will be healed, I tell you, and God will anoint you with a fresher anointing as a reward.

Imagine as a teacher, you know which of your students has a godly or an evil spirit and you are able to help those who want help. When I was a teacher, by His grace, I picked some students like that, and they knew I was not an ordinary teacher. A demon possessed girl from Senegal told me she would deal with me and my pastor. I laughed. She came at night with her marine spirits to attack me and my father in the Lord, but she lost that battle and regretted it by the grace of God. Before leaving the country prematurely, she said, ” I know you know me, and I also know you. I know you belong to the Light, but I belong to darkness, so please stop praying against me. I’m always tormented because of your prayers. ” Glory be God! Say after me, ” I’m a threat to the dark world in the name of Jesus!

Because you are highly prophetic, you, as an HR, will never hire bad people. You will not marry your enemy. You will be in the right place at the right time in the name of Jesus!

To be a threat to the enemy is actually a blessing and not a curse. Rejoice, brother and sister!

Shalom!

Dr. David Tobi Ogoudou

You are a Threat to Satan (4)

Another sign that shows you are a threat to the kingdom of darkness apart from experiencing unusual seasons of isolation, early or prolonged spiritual attacks, being highly sensitive to the presence of God is that you are highly compassionate about the afflicted, sick needy, ignorant or lost.

“When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick. ” – Matthew 14:14. The scripture states that Jesus healed the people because he had compassion on them. Why did he have compassion on them? Because, when he saw these people in bondage,  he felt a burden to liberate them. Remember, it was this same Jesus Herod wanted to eliminate when he was a baby. Why?

Acts 10: 38 says “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.”. He was anointed to bring an end to the works of Satan, and for that matter, demons didn’t like Him. Some of them said to Him, ” Why have you come to deal with us before our time?” for they knew Him. This compassion I’m talking about is not normal. You know some people may see the sick and just feel bad or sorry for them, and it ends there. The best they can say to them is ” please take your medicine and get well soon,” which is not bad. That’s how they demonstrate their love or compassion to the afflicted or sick, but for you, it’s so different. When you see people sick or hurting, you feel you are the one going through that ordeal. Your immediate response is to find a quick solution for their sicknesses. In fact, sometimes you wish their sicknesses could be transferred to you so that they will also experience good health. The worst scenario is when a sick person you felt you could have done something about their health dies. When that happens, you lose your peace and even sleep. You can spend hours in prayer asking the Lord why a particular sick person died or is even sick and what can be done to reverse their condition. That’s compassion. The Holy Spirit is the one that implanted that deep compassion in your soul and spirit so that you can rely on Him for a solution.

If you are a medical doctor, in fact, a called one and not someone who went into the field to satisfy their carnal desires or honor their parents, you would also have the same feelings as someone who’s called into ministry just that yours will be tailored towards medicine which is another area God uses to bring health to His people. When you see a patient in pain in your ward, you try everything within your power to get them well. You always have this burden to help the sick. Sometimes, you can even use your money to pay patients’ medicine. You derive so much satisfaction when you see them healed through you. For you and the one called into ministry, don’t expect the devil to spare your health. He will attack it, but you won’t die. Until you feel what sick people feel, you may not understand how it feels to be sick and how it feels like enjoying perfect health. The devil sees you as threat because he knows that with your healing or medicine anointing, you will do so much for Jesus and restore health to His people ” But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the LORD, ‘because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares.’ – Jeremiah 30:17. You are an agent of healing and, by extension, a serious threat to the dark kingdom. Hold on to the horns of the altar and let that healing grace be activated. Pray for the sick and you, the medical doctor, continue with your job.  Be encouraged!

As a financial apostle, for you you may have a lot of financial problems now. When you see people in lack who can’t get food for themselves, can’t pay their rent, or you see a struggling church or community, you feel so bad are always like ” I wish I had money….” The interesting thing is that as you may have your own needs unmet, you will be more concerned about other people’s needs. When you get the cash you really need, what do you think you will do? You may have been employed for sometime now, though you are more than qualified to get a job. Brother, get the job now and see the speed at which you will do incredible things for yourself, family, and the people connected to you. God has allowed this season for a purpose. It’s a learning process. The devil is not a factor here and is not stronger than God. He has allowed the attack for you to depend on Him so that when he finally deals with the devil,  you will give all the glory to God. The devil knows you but unfortunately you don’t know yourself and you always complain.

I declare and decree through you, the sick shall be healed, the afflicted delivered, the hopeless shall find hope, the barren shall conceive, the unmarried shall be married in the name of Jesus. This is all because “you are the Lord’s battle axe and a weapon of war”!

Be blessed!

You are a Threat to Satan (3)

Beloved, Calvary greetings to you in the precious name of Jesus! In our previous write -ups, we mentioned that as far as our teaching is concerned, some signs we see in our lives are an indication that we are dangerously anointed or are a threat to the devil.

The first is unusual seasons of isolation, and the second one is early or prolonged spiritual attacks.

Now, are you highly sensitive to the presence of God? If yes, that’s an index of the fact that you are indeed a threat to the kingdom of darkness.

How do you feel during spirit filled worship sessions, acidic prayer meetings, or when you are hearing an anointed man of God preach the infallible word of God? Think about it for a second.

Some people experience goosebumps when their spirit gets connected to a powerful worship song. They can be singing the chorus of a song until they start crying in His presence. This is spirit worship. They that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and truth. In fact, some of these worshippers get prophetic messages or visions from the Holy One when they start worshipping. Have you felt like that before?

Other people feel heat either in their palms, which could be a powerful anointing for healing, deliverance, or something else depending on what the Great Monarch tells you it is. Though such unctions are normally synonymous with healing, you must ask Him to confirm it to you. When I worship or start leading people in prayer,I feel a combustible anointing in a part of my body.

Remember, it is not everyone who feels this way because we walk by faith and not by sight ( 2 Corinthians 5:7) but you that are a threat to the devil will just notice that the way you feel is different.

So when you feel heat, for example, what do you have to do? Check the results or the things that happen at that time. Do you start seeing or hearing? Do you begin to sense the presence of God? Do you feel you are not alone? Do you feel led to pray, lay hands on people, or issue commands, and when you do what happens? If you notice a pattern, nurture it, and you will know who exactly you are. If you start giving commands and people start getting healed, delivered, or miracles happen, that means the angel of your ordination is around.

Job 4:15 is a verse from the Book of Job that describes Eliphaz’s terrifying experience: “Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of my flesh stood up.” This encounter with a spiritual entity left him in awe and silence, followed by a voice that questioned the righteousness of mortals before God. When these angelic beings come close to mortals, we fall, we cry, tremble, or even scream. This is because we are connected to their realm, though we are on earth. Not everyone experiences this and has experienced that before. At this juncture, begin to pray and enquire of the Lord, ” Father, what is the meaning of what I’m sensing, what do I do etc…? Keep asking earnestly anytime you have any of the experiences discussed above and the answer will come when God notices you mean business. For some people, He could say , “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” -Psalm 46 :10. And when you obey, He will speak in a way that you just would not doubt He’s the one. When a spirit speaks to you regularly or often, my friend, you are dangerous and must be feared, trust me. You may enter your office to sit on your chair, and that  feeling you are used to will just come and your spirit will pick it up and you will refuse to sit on the seat and your evil doers will wonder how you knew about their evil plans.

Because you are a spiritually sensitive personality I declare and decree upon your life” you will not a poisonous food, you will not marry your enemy, when you begin to feel the anointing for protection and preservation, you will know what to do by the Spirit, whenever you appear in a place control by demons or possessed persons they rather shall relocate or leave the place because you are a threat to the dark kingdom in the name of Jesus!

Be blessed!
